For general information on this subject see "Why Do Employers Use Assessments?"
The Prevue Assessments are used for all the functions outlined in the general information on this subject but most frequently for selection (identifying and hiring people with the best job fit). Within the selection function they are sometimes used at an early stage in the job application process to identify those who are unlikely to fulfill the requirements of a particular position. Most often the Prevue Assessments are used later in the hiring process to identify those applicants who are the best fit to the demands and requirements of the job. They do this by providing a scientifically developed benchmark against which all applicants can be compared to identify those with the best job fit.
